2011-2017
AV Club Amsterdam was a live event series of experimental film and music which took place at one of Amsterdam’s longest-running alternative spaces, OCCII.
It focused on fostering an open and informal setting for collaboration and sharing international and local talent, low to no barrier entrance to experiencing a wide variety of performances and screenings. Founded by Helena Sanders and co-curated with Sjoerd Stolk (OCCII), sound engineering by Luc Van Weelden, and endless support from Rogier Smal, and the volunteer staff of bartenders, door persons, volunteers cooks for performers, and more.
AV Club Amsterdam also extended out into the city, doing collaborations with West Wednesdays and Volle Band mobile-cycle cinema, OT301, and Red Light Radio.
